Even Better than the First

With This Kiss
Emerald Lake Series #2
Bella Riley
Released March 1st, 2012
386 Pages
Grand Central Publishing
Source: NetGalley

I think I liked With This Kiss, the second book of the series even better than the first book, Home Sweet Home.  And I REALLY enjoyed the first book, so that is saying a lot.

I was excited when I found out With This Kiss would feature Rebecca Campbell, who we meet in Home Sweet Home.  There had to be a story there and oh..did we get it!

Rebecca was a heroine that anyone could love.  She was kind, giving, a hard-worker and she never gave up, or at least, she didn't like to give up.  A Fighter all the way, and that is one things I love about my heroines, they are fighters.

Can't forget about SEAN MURPHY...oh baby....I absolutely loved the first few chapters when they get to know each other.  The heat, the attraction and the flirting...I was as tight as a violin string when they finally kissed.  There is a lot of built up sexual attraction that will keep you turning pages.

And Grandma Celeste's own love story had me bawling...I swear...i was wiping away the tears just so I could finish the story.  It is heart-wrenching, and SO WORTH THE READ!!
So anyone who has not yet read Bella Riley...Pick up Home Sweet Home or With This Kiss (which you CAN read as a stand alone if you want), but I recommend reading both!  You wont be sorry!!

And NOW the amazing, Bella Riley...

A Tasty Read: Bella, thanks so much for hanging out with us today

Bella Riley: Thank you for having me!

A Tasty Read: Busy, Busy Bella.....Is that what they call you? No...Really...Do you sleep?

Bella: My husband and friends will definitely agree with that nickname! They're always teasing me about how I'm constantly working on a book. Even when I'm not at my computer, I can't help but think about my heroes and heroines. :)

You're right, I don't sleep quite as much as I used to! Honestly, I love what I'm doing so much that a few lost hours of sleep a night are a worthy trade for the pleasure of getting to write love stories.

A Tasty Read: It's obviously working for you because, I am LOVING the Emerald Lakes Novels. How did they come about? When did you know you wanted to go in a different direction from your usual stuff?

Bella: Thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying the stories so much. My husband’s family has a centuries old cabin in the Adirondack mountains where my family and I vacation every summer. I love the history and closeness of the community and have wanted to set a series there for several years. It's a thrill to see them finally released.

A Tasty Read: Can you tell us a bit about With This Kiss, the second book in the Emerald Lakes Series, which just so happened to Hit the Shelves yesterday?

Bella: In WITH THIS KISS deeply hidden secrets threaten to keep Rebecca and Sean apart despite the fireworks that neither of them can deny. This book is the story of not only their journey to love – but Sean's parents, his brother and his grandmother all finally dealing with the secrets that they've been carrying in their hearts for far too long.

A Tasty Read: Oh...how I loved Celeste!  Have you planned the next book in the Emerald Lakes Series, and If so, can you tell us about it?

Bella: I do have some ideas for another Emerald Lake book, but they're still in the nebulous stages, I'm afraid!

A Tasty Read: That's fine...as long as you are planning to write more.  Is there any Genre that you would like to tackle that you have not yet written??

Bella: I’m very happy with love stories, thank you. :)

A Tasty Read:  And we are VERY happy you write Love Stories!!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU for hanging out with us today, and for the awesome Giveaway!!

**GIVEAWAY:

I want to know if you've read Bella Riley yet??  And If so, which book in the series??  If not, which book would you be interested in reading?

Can you ever come HOME again?

Home Sweet Home
An Emerald Lake Novel
Bella Riley
Released Oct 1st, 2011
386 Pages
Forever Publishing

Home Sweet Home is a sweet, heartwarming story about lost love and coming home again.

Andi is returning to her hometown after ten years away to convince the town council to allow her client to build condos on a prime water front property. The town will be a tough sell but it isn't the town she is worried about, it is the new Mayor, Nate Duncan. Nate and Andi were high school sweethearts and while she was away at College Nate wen't thru some very tramatic events and when she decided that she couldn't drop out of school to come home to be with him, things blew up and she hasn't seen him since. You can only imagine the words that are slung between these two ex lovers, with still so much hostility and yearning between them.

I actually felt sorry for Andi. She seemed so ALONE in her life, away from her mother and grandmother, still greaving her father's death, about to loose her job which is all she really has. And Nate....what a phenominal person to raise his baby sister after all the tragedy...I love admirable heroes....even when sometimes they can be too stubborn for their own good!

The book was an enjoyable read. I love books that have some focus on the community, especially nosy knitting groups who always get all the good gossip. I have to say I really liked Evelyn, Andi's grandmother. She reminded me of my own grandmother, and the fact that our grandparents have a past that we can learn from...and great stories to share.

This new series by Bella Riley is going to be a good one....I am already looking forward to the next book, Rebecca's story.  I am very curious to find out what happened with Rebecca and Stu and to see how life is going for Nate and Andi.

Happy Reading!!
