RITA finalist and New York Times bestselling author Ruthie Knox kicks off a steamy new series set in the city that never sleeps—alone, at least.

May Fredericks hates New York. Which is fair enough, since New York seems to hate her back. After relocating to Manhattan from the Midwest to be with her long-distance boyfriend, NFL quarterback Thor Einarsson, May receives the world’s worst marriage proposal, stabs the jerk with a shrimp fork, and storms off alone—only to get mugged. Now she’s got no phone, no cash, and no friends. How’s a nice girl supposed to get back to safe, sensible Wisconsin?

Frankly, Ben Hausman couldn’t care less. Sure, it’s not every day he meets a genuine, down-to-earth woman like May—especially in a dive in the Village—but he’s recovering from an ugly divorce that cost him his restaurant. He wants to be left alone to start over and become a better man. Then again, playing the white knight to May’s sexy damsel in distress would be an excellent place to start—if only he can give her one very good reason to love New York.

Brimming with New York charm...TRULY is unputdownable!

As a huge fan of Ruthie Knox's writing style (ABOUT THAT NIGHT and RIDE WITH ME), I knew I would be sucked into the story of May, the Wisconsin Transplant, and Ben, the grumpy New Yorker (and as someone from NY originally, I can agree that we are grumpy, or at least we find it strange when people who we don't know wave at us...something I had to get used to when I moved to North Carolina...People wave just to be nice....HUH?)

And sucked in I was!  May is absolutely hysterical!  From someone who hates to 'Rock the Boat' and cause any confrontation, I can see myself in May so much, and yes, we do get angry and when it happens, WATCH OUT (Dan and the Shrimp fork can vouch for that).  I loved that she finally finds herself, and I mean the self that she has been battling down for years at others expenses, and Ben is the one who draws that out of her.  The always say when you find the one, you can be comfortable enough to be the Real You, and I think that is what May and Ben do for each other.

Ben....ah Ben, not your typical white knight, but he was spectacular.  Grumpy is his MO, and he lives off the anger, but with May, he too could be the true him, and even look forward to being the "Best" of himself for Meg....I liked that he wasn't perfect and everything wasn't just wrapped in a big ole red bow.

Ruthie Knox writes a Fairy Tale, but with a Princess that could definitely fight the dragon herself, and a Prince who can cook like...ohh....I want a piece of that french toast he was making...and a setting that takes you away to the noisy streets of NYC, and makes you feel alive!

New York Times bestselling author Ruthie Knox writes contemporary romance that’s sexy, witty, and angsty—sometimes all three at once. Her debut novel, Ride with Me, is probably the only existing cross-country bicycling love story. She followed it up with About Last Night, a London-based romance whose hero has the unlikely name of Neville, and then Room at the Inn, a Christmas novella—both of which were finalists for the Romance Writers of America’s RITA Award.

Her four-book series about the Clark family of Camelot, Ohio, has won accolades for its fresh, funny portrayal of small-town Midwestern life. Ruthie also writes New Adult romance as Robin York. She moonlights as a mother, Tweets incessantly, and bakes a mean focaccia. She’d love to hear from you, so visit her website and drop her a line.

Looking for Three Steamy Holiday Romances...You have come to the right place!

Blurb

’Tis the season for romance with three original holiday-themed novellas! Unwrap this festive eBook bundle and discover why these authors are quickly becoming the biggest names in the genre. Ruthie Knox tells a heartwarming contemporary story of first loves given the gift of a second chance; Molly O’Keefe releases the ghosts of Christmas past with a prequel to her novel Crazy Thing Called Love; and Stefanie Sloane weaves an irresistible Regency tale of fiery passion that burns deep on a cold winter’s night.

ROOM AT THE INN by Ruthie Knox (One of A Tasty Reads Best New Authors of 2012) tells the story of Carson Vance, who couldn't leave his hometown fast enough after his mothers passing a few years back, but leaves on-again/off-again girlfriend, Julie Long while he travels the world making his dreams happen.

Julie Long has spent long enough pining away after Carson, but she calls him home when Carson's father's health has her concerned, but how will her heart survive another hit and run visit.

As usual, Knox brings her best, with sexy heroes, steamy love scenes and just enough heartache to keep me wanting more.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU by Molly O'Keefe is the prequel to CRAZY THING CALLED LOVE, her upcoming Crooked Creek Ranch Romance, which I reviewed and I LOVED.  If you think Billy Wilkins is a charmer as a teenager in this sweet novella, just wait until you meet him as an adult.  Molly gives us a little taste of Maddie and Billy and their journey to the alter.

ONE PERFECT CHRISTMAS by Stefanie Sloane brings us a beautiful Friends to lovers romance, which is one of my favorites to read.  Jane Merriweather looks to her friend Lucas Cavanaugh for a shoulder to cry on but end up in the comfort of his arms instead.  This was my first read from Stefanie Sloane and it certainly won't be my last.  She writes dashing heroes, strong heroines and toe-curling romance.

This Christmas Anthology is one to put on your Christmas list!!

Enjoy and Happy Reading!!

I'd Ride with Tom Anywhere

Ride With Me

What a Great Romance.  Who would have thought that bicycling could be so hot!

Alexandra "Lexie" Marshall arrives at the western seaside thinking that she was here to meet Tom Geiger, only the Tom Geiger that showed was nothing like what she had been picturing in her head, and Lexie, was definitely not what Tom pictured when he was looking for a guy named "Alex"...hee hee...his mistake!!

Lexie has been waiting to ride the TransAmerican Trail since she was a child, and she wasn't going to let Angry Tom stand in the way, even if she would rather ride with him than alone.  Tom makes a decision that he will go with Lexie on the trip, but only because he has some sort of chivalry complex where he feels the need to take care of people, or feel guilty if something were to happen to them.  So he rides with her, but only until he can find someone else to finish the ride as her partner.  With a few white lies, a few meddling family members and a few hidden secrets, Tom and Lexie take the ride of their lives.  Might be a bit bumpy at times, but it sure was a hell of a ride.

I have seen this book a lot on Goodreads and Amazon and never picked it up until now, what was I waiting for?  I enjoyed this book so much, not only for the different sides of Tom, but I was sucked into the story after the first few pages and I needed to know what would come of Tom and Lexie, and I hoped it would have the happiest of endings!

Tom Geiger has officially made it to my "favorite heroes" list.  Not only was he physically smokin hot, but he's moody and broody, funny and affectionate, and I wouldn't have minded having to share his tent, if you know what I mean!!  Lexie was pretty cool herself.  She didn't let Tom get away with his moods and she was a stubborn little thing.  I admired her and really enjoyed watching her personality and Tom's clash.  Love me some sexual tension!!

This is my first book by Ruthie Knox, but it will not be my last.  I will start her new release, About That Night, soon and I would highly recommend that all my Tasty Readers give this book and her new book a chance!!  You won't be disappointed.

Enjoy and Happy Reading!!
