Not only did I enjoy The Seen Trilogy, by Ms. Sax, but I was THRILLED when I found out that we were getting a HEA for Henley, who you will see featured in The Seen Trilogy (which I suggest you read...not that you need to if you want to enjoy FLASHES OF ME, but that I think you will soooo enjoy the Erotic Trilogy).
As far as Henley goes...I am 100% #TeamHenley ALL THE WAY! Not that this is a romance with a love triangle, I am just all about this Beast of a man...and I love that Kat knows all the ways to break down his walls in such a short amount of time. These two are true soul mates, and you see that from the first meeting.
Ms. Sax writes erotic romance with emotion, and so much passion, and some KINKY destinations for the "love makin"...brings new meaning to copy room! Interview with Cynthia Sax
A Tasty Read: I am so thrilled to have Cynthia here to hang out with us today!Firstly, I must ask, where do you get
your ideas from? Especially for THE SEEN TRILOGY (A Favorite of mine)
Cynthia Sax: One hot summer
night, I was looking at the neighbor’s gorgeous empty pool and thinking “It
would be so easy to jump the fence and take a swim.” That got me to thinking
(which is always dangerous) about who would do that. Why would she do that?
This is how I met Anna, the heroine of The Seen Trilogy (He Watches Me, He
Touches Me, He Claims Me).
The idea for
Flashes Of Me originated from my personal reaction to bad news. I try my
darnedest to pretend the unhappy events have never happened. Kat, the heroine,
moves across the country to maintain this illusion. No one knows her in LA.
They don’t know whether or not she’s telling the truth. And as the story is
told from Kat’s point of view, readers don’t know the truth either.
ATR: Do certain characters speak to you throughout the writing process demanding their own book, or did you have FLASHES OF ME and the Upcoming BREAKING THE RULES already plotted out?
Cynthia: I never know what
will happen next in a story. I only see one scene ahead of the writing. I watch
the story unfold as I would watch a movie, frantically writing down everything
I see.
So many reading
buddies asked for Camille’s story that I knew I’d write her story (Breaking The
Rules). I thought that would be the
follow up to The Seen Trilogy (He Watches Me, He Touches Me, He Claims Me).
However, Kat and Henley demanded that I write their story (Flashes Of Me) and
Camille was having too much fun breaking the rules to settle down.
ATR: What is next for Cynthia? What are you working on now?
ATR: What is next for Cynthia? What are you working on now?
Cynthia: I’m totally
stoked to share that I’m writing a 12 novella (100 pages each) serial for Avon
Impulse. It is another sexy contemporary erotic romance, this time set in
Chicago, and it will be releasing, one novella a month, starting in July. I
can’t yet share many details about this project but I will say that I’m SUPER
excited about it. It is fresh, different, and when the first story releases,
reading buddies will realize why it could only be written in 12 installments.
I don’t write
serials because they’re hot. I write them because that’s the best way to tell
certain stories.
ATR: If you could give one piece of advice to Aspiring Writers, what would it be?

Cynthia: Stock up on Nutella! Muses love Nutella. (grins)
On a more serious
note… fit the format to the story. Flashes of Me could only be written in first
person from the heroine’s point of view. The Seen Trilogy (He Watches Me, He
Touches Me, He Claims Me) is best read as a serial (3 novellas instead of 1
novel). These are tools. Use them to enhance your stories.
ATR: Sex Scenes: Easy or Hard to write? Do you have a ritual to get in the
mood?
Cynthia: I LOVE writing
sex scenes. I’ve taken many workshops (Angela Knight’s online sex scene
workshops are a must for any erotic romance writer), learning how to increase
the sensuality of my scenes. Every sex scene is different because every couple
is different and every stage of their relationship is different. This makes
them both interesting and challenging.
I don’t have a
set ritual to get into the mood. Sometimes I’ll listen to music and match the tempo
with my words. Sometimes I’ll stare at the ceiling, willing the words to come.
Often the sex scene is a natural progression in the relationship and it flows
from the previous scene.
ATR: Do you have plans, or have you written any other genre aside from Erotic?

Cynthia: I started (in my
pre-publish days) writing with the bedroom door shut and I found it impossible
to tell the romance between two healthy modern adults without showing what
happened in the bedroom. Sex changes a relationship. Men, especially, often show
their feelings during lovemaking. To hide that from readers seemed unfair. It
felt as though I was telling only half of the story.
I’ve written
contemporary, SciFi and paranormal erotic romances. I’m extremely happy with
these three subgenres for now but who knows what tomorrow will bring!

Don’t tell Kat but Henley is planning to take her to an amusement park. He’s
determined to win her a giant plush unicorn. Kat will be wearing a darling pink
suit from one of her beloved designers. Pink IS her favorite color. She’ll also
be sporting completely impractical shoes which means Henley will likely end up
carrying her everywhere. Luckily he’s big and strong, well able to manage this
sexy task.

chocolate-covered strawberries. Oh, or better yet, strawberries dipped in
Nutella. Or simply Nutella, eaten straight from a jar with a spoon. Yes, I’m a
simple gal.
