Married and settled in New York City, Ryan and Julia Matthews seek to start their family and enjoy their idyllic newlywed life together. Julia’s high-profile job at Vogue and Ryan’s promising career in medicine will surely set them up for everything they could ever want, their only obstacle seems to be finding enough time to spend together.
When a scuffle at Ryan’s hospital puts his life in danger, a colleague steps in to save him but is critically injured in the process. In a heroic and unwavering effort, Ryan manages to save her, but her injuries irrevocably change her life forever.
Though Julia’s gratitude urges her to befriend the woman, she feels pushed aside when Ryan, feeling indebted and laden with guilt, befriends the woman during her recovery. Julia puts on a good front, but as time goes on her resolve vanishes as the friendship begins to infiltrate what little time the couple has together and she is reminded of how her own relationship with Ryan began.
In Ryan’s mind he is doing nothing more than supporting a friend’s healing and is angry at Julia’s apparent lack of trust, despite his attempts to console her. When events get too much for her, a heartbroken Julia flees without telling her husband her destination or even if she will return.
When grief pushes him beyond what’s humanly possible and he is on the verge of losing his mind, he is forced to decide how much he will pay for his new friendship and Julia, what she is willing to endure in order to spare herself the unspeakable pain of watching someone else try to replace her in Ryan’s heart.
Join Ryan and Julia in the heart-wrenching conclusion to the unforgettable story of an incredible love; worth every single sacrifice…
For there is nothing more sacred than… A Love Like This…

As in the first two books of the trilogy, we follow Ryan and Julia down their very bumpy ride to what we hope will be happily ever after. At the end of book two, Don’t Forget to Remember Me, Ryan and Julia have found their way back to each other after Julia’s accident and memory loss. They have even managed to survive her remembering the loss of their baby. In fact, their love only grows stronger. The newlyweds settle into married life and endure the struggles of Ryan’s demanding residency at St. Vincent’s emergency room in lower Manhattan and Julia’s success at Vogue. There seems to be always something in the way of these two people’s happiness. Among them are an overly enamored colleague, long hours and a growing publishing career.
These two people have an undeniable and undying love that reaches out of the pages and grabs you by the heart. It is almost painful to watch them go through one crisis after another as they try to cling to each other.
There were several fringe characters in the first two books that I had hoped we would see more of. I was disappointed when we saw very few. One of them was Louie; I thought she could have played a bigger part. There was talk about Julia’s friends and plots that mirrored Ryan and Julia’s, but there was very little showing. There were points in this book that were predictable and frustrating.  Their actions would have been true and believable for most couples, but for the Ryan and Julia that Kahlen created in books one and two, they were hard to swallow.
There were many edge of your seat scenes. With some of those fringe characters really getting into the action, I could not make it through the pages fast enough. There were scenes told like television cop shows, they were very compelling.  Julia has a feisty side that I liked.  I was ready to roll up my sleeves and stand right behind her. There were references to real life landmarks that were beautifully done.
Ryan’s work in the ER was accurately portrayed.  You could feel how worn down he was when he came home to Julia. Julia’s sadness came through on each page. I could feel Julia’s frustration level. She felt like they never talked anymore, they either were sleeping or making love. It was hot and steamy and singed the pages, but I can see where she was missing her best friend.
I enjoyed Ryan being rough around the edges despite his despair. Seeing Julia standing up for her own feelings was refreshing, but her timing was terrible.
Even though this was not my favorite book of the trilogy I would still read it.  I would not have wanted to miss how Kahlen wraps up this true love story.

Sounds like a tissue box kind of book. hard to say who I picture as the heroine and hero without reading the books. Definately made my TBR pile bigger. thanks for the giveaway.

I don't usually like it when books are turned into movies so I don't have any actors in mind.
