This novella has it all: a quirky heroine, a sexy, British hero and an adorable story involving measles, emotional pain and finding love again.

I know this is a very quick read, but for what it was, I LOVED IT!! It could have a lot to do with Alistair Woodbury, our hero, who is actually royalty in England, but works as a doctor over boarders helping children with rare diseases.  He is handsome, intelligent and has been all over the world.  Of course Paige McLean would be attracted to him, even with the measles.

Paige has ALWAYS wanted to travel and had so many plans, but for now is just hovering in Fool's Gold, not wanting to leave the one place that she considers her home.  Alistair reminds her of all the things she had planned for her life, and he starts to bring that dream to life again. 

If you haven't read any of the Fool's Gold books, I suggest starting from the beginning, but if you are looking for a quick romance read with a happy ending, pick up Almost Summer, you won't be disappointed.
