Saltine Break Up

Not only is this easy to make treat Delicious...but it makes a GREAT GIFT for Teachers, Neighbors or anyone you want to impress with your AMAZING Culinary Skills!!


Preheat Oven to 375 degrees

Ingredients:

40 Saltine Crackers
1 c. Butter
1/2 c. Packed Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
12 oz. Chocolate Chips

Add your favorite nut for an added crunch!

Directions:

1. Line baking sheet with foil, arrange the Saltines in a single layer, they can be touching.

2. In a small sauce pan, bring butter and brown sugar to a boil.  Remove from heat, stir in baking soda

3. Pour over crackers, then bake for 6-8 minutes, until bubbling.

4. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with Chocolate Chips. Spread with a spoon or spatula, allow them to melt.  Sprinkle with nuts before chocolate is set.

5. Let cool completely, then break into chunks.  Store covered at room temperature.
