About the Book

Avery...what can I say...she was a pretty cool heroine, and someone that I could easily relate to, I think I liked her from page one (see Scorpion scene). Insert Joe Travis (ahhh Joe), who is looking for a woman to finally settle down with, someone good, and kind and someone to have all those Travis babies...and of course he finds the one woman who isn't looking for love..at all...

What ensues is exactly what you expect from a Lisa Kleypas Novel...a wonderfully written story, with a classic and very sexy alpha hero and a heroine who you can't help but love...even when you wish the hero was yours instead. A secondary cast that has you laughing at times and crying in others...I felt like I was back with old friends while reading BROWN-EYED GIRL! To see all my old friends made my heart happy and that is the kind of reaction I want from a romance, one that leaves me with a huge smile and a warm heart.

Kleypas fills the pages with a love story that is realistic and a little old fashioned, and as always with a Travis man....very very sexy! I truly loved each moment, each page, each word...Truly Satisfying!

And I got to see my Jack...Jack Travis...If you haven't read SMOOTH TALKING STRANGER...get on it!

I hope that Lisa is planning to write a love story for Ryan...he is the silent and sexy type and I would LOVE to see what he is all about underneath the buttoned up man!

Talk about a roller coaster of emotions...Candis Terry near bout tore my heart to shreds with TRULY SWEET!  Between the laughter and the tears, I found a beautifully written romance about healing and finding something/someone who makes you feel whole again.  Jake and Annie really did a number on my heart!

I have to say first of all, to my contemporary readers, if you have not yet started the Sweet Texas series, you MUST get started today!  Not that the stories get better and better, because they are all equally terrific, but they consistently grab your heart and before you know it, you are the newest member of the Wilder family.  I know Reno holds a special place in my heart, and he always will, and Jesse's book, well....it was my dedication book, so it will always mean the world to me, but Jake's book just took me for a loop.  I was thinking Candis would end things with a funny, charming romance between two people who argue a ton, but find they are two pieces of a puzzle, and YES, we do get the charming Jake and the "Pistol" Annie, but Candis takes them on such a journey of discovery first, and I have to say, TRULY SWEET might have taken the cake for my favorite of the Sweet Series.

An amazing finish to such a heartwarming, sexy and always charming series!  The Wilder Family will stay with me for a LONG LONG time, and I can't wait to see what Candis has in store next!
