Digital Series Bundle of
Various States of Undress Bks 1-3

Laura Simcox concludes her fun, flirty Various States of Undress series featuring three presidential daughters with the tale of love at the ballgame.

Brett Knox, star catcher of the Memphis Redbirds, a Triple-A farm team for the St. Louis Cardinals, just got bumped back down to the minors. Brett’s main goal in life is to get back into the big leagues-on his own terms, which means no distractions. Certainly not in the form of a sexy brunette who won’t take no for an answer. As far as Brett’s concerned, his life story isn’t for sale, charity, or pity.’

Georgia Fulton, 4.0 student and daughter of the president of the United States, is certain that she’s on her way to journalistic stardom and she’s doing it without cashing in on her celebrity status-which is exactly what she wants. Nothing’s going to keep her from getting the story of her young career...until she meets Brett Knox, and quickly realizes that he’s a force to be reckoned with. He may be the focus of her assignment, but he could also seriously mess with her internship success, and more alarmingly, her heart.

So...I think that GEORGIA has won out as my favorite of the Various States of Undress Series.  I not only have a thing for sexy baseball players, but I love a fun, sarcastic heroine, who is a little curvelacious and somewhat a dork...Georgia was awesome!

Laura has given us a the final book in the Various States Series with a great storyline, fresh characters with some great chemistry (loved the learning to throw the ball scene...I love those first sparks of attraction).  The storyline has a bit of a twist, and not a whole lots of angst (thank God), it was just good 'ole fashioned romance at it'd finest!

Now I will tell you that all the books in the series have their fair share of great qualities, such as each couple was written as likable and they all had that "spark", but Georgia and Brett just kind of lit up the pages with sexual attraction...I'll take a bit of "Knox the Fox"!

I am SOOOOOO hoping that Laura will do a series with the rest of the team from the Redbirds Team!  Maybe...Yes...No...PLEASE!!

The late afternoon sunlight streamed through the curtains as I stepped into his bedroom for the first time. I took a moment to take in the furnishings that matched, just like the rest of his apartment. His OCD was something I’d come to appreciate. The fascinating part was the king-sized bed in the middle of the room.

"King-size?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.

"I like to spread out," he said, placing his hands on my waist. "That’s why I have my own apartment. I realized freshman year I wasn’t suited for roommates. By midyear, my roommate was ready to kill me..." His voice trailed off as I began to unbutton his shirt.
"Are we going to talk about furniture, or are we going to use it?" I asked, helping him slide out of his shirt.

He answered by pulling me into his arms. My hands splayed across his back as his lips found mine. We stood in the middle of his room discovering each other. I can’t even say for sure how it happened, but somehow our clothes managed to end up in a pile on the floor.
I usually preferred the lights off and the room to be pitch black to hide my flaws. I tried to edge us toward the bed so I could at least hide beneath a blanket, but Trent held me in place as his lips trailed down my neck and over my shoulder.

"Where you going?" he asked, looking up from my shoulder.

"I thought we’d be more comfortable on the bed," I said, inching us closer. "Under the covers," I added.
"Are you cold?" he asked, looking concerned. He went with the flow, allowing me to lead us to his large bed.

I could have lied. I almost did, but the truth leaked out before I could tamp it back. "I’m not cold. I just prefer to do this part in the dark or under the covers."
He looked confused. "Why?"
"Because, I don’t like people to see my flaws," I admitted, exasperated.

"Flaws? You’re kidding, right?" he asked, taking a step back to admire my body.

I felt like I was on display and had to fight the urge to snatch the comforter from his bed to hide. "You don’t have to flatter me, Trent. I’m not going anywhere." My voice cracked slightly. I knew my body wasn’t perfect. Jackson had reminded me of it countless times while we dated.

"Tressa, come on. You’re smarter than that."
I cut him off. "Are you calling me stupid?" I asked, not sure if I should be offended.
"If you think there’s anything wrong with your body, then yes, I am," he said, circling his hands around my arms. His eyes scanned my body from head to toe. "Because from where I’m standing, everything looks damn perfect."
He unexpectedly swept me off my feet and carried me to the bed. We tumbled down together, laughing until he began to trace the curves of my body with his fingers. I closed my eyes and allowed my body to completely relax while he switched to using his mouth. He started at my shoulders, kissing his way across my neck. I raised my hands to his chest, but he pushed them back down. "Just relax and let me play," he said.
He continued to kiss his way down to my breasts while his free hand moved between my thighs. I couldn’t stop my body from reacting to his touch. Just lying there without being able to use my hands on him was torture.
"I want you now," I insisted. He climbed on top of me, using his knee to spread my legs apart. By the time he leveled his body over mine, I felt like I would die if he didn’t ease the throbbing inside me. My hands looped around his neck, pulling his mouth to mine as he entered me. Our bodies moved in a synchronized rhythm as we both sought release. I felt my orgasm approaching, but I fought to hold it off, not wanting the moment to end. I could tell Trent was close as his movements became faster and more forceful.
"Together," I whispered, looking into his eyes. Neither of us was able to hold back any longer.

He answered by plunging deep inside me one last time, sending us both over the edge. He kissed me tenderly before collapsing on top of me. Deep shudders rippled through him. I stroked a hand down his back, marveling at how good he felt against me. I felt completely sated and could have purred like a pleased feline. Sure, it’d been a long time for me, but I couldn’t remember it ever being like this.

Falling Away - Chapter 6 Excerpt
As he made his way back through town, the only sound we could hear was the water on the streets being kicked up under the tires. He’d silenced the radio, we weren’t talking . . . and I felt as if he’d switched off.

Everything had felt alive when he kissed me. His heart under my palm. His breath in my mouth. His hands roaming over my skin as if they were trying to memorize every inch of me.

Now he was a bullet. Going from point A to point B without hesitation.

Until his flat tone finally filled the car. “Come home with me.” It wasn’t a question, and I couldn’t hear a trace of emotion.

I turned to him, stunned. “Are you serious?” I asked. “I don’t think I’d be enough for you.”

“Don’t do that,” he shot back. “Don’t ruin what happened between us. You were fire in my hands, and I want you to remember it, K.C.”

I could feel his eyes on me as I clasped the strap of Tate’s messenger bag sitting on the floor.

“Clothed, naked, I don’t care . . . ” He trailed off, sounding almost sad. “As long as your lips are on me again.”

I shifted in the seat, trying to buy myself time. What I wanted and what I should do were two different things. I’d fought that battle with Liam, my mother, and hell, the list went on. It was true when I told Jax that I wanted to be a mess. But I didn’t want to get hurt.

“Thanks for the lesson,” I said. “And the ride. But I’m not like you, Jax. I don’t just ignore the rules and take what I want.”

“You don’t know me.” His tone turned defensive. “You know nothing about me.”

“And what do you know about me?” I threw back. “Other than you wanted me to spread my legs in high school? You want to have fun with me and nothing more, Jax. Find someone else.”

He jerked the steering wheel to the right, and I grabbed the door handle to keep from vaulting over to his side of the car as he sped up into his driveway.

My heart jumped into my throat, and I shot out my hand, grabbing the dash when he skidded to a quick halt in front of his garage.

“Jax, Jesus!” I scolded.

He shut off the car, yanked the parking brake up, and turned to look at me, leaning his forearm on the steering wheel. “You think I don’t know you?” he challenged.

I pursed my lips. “Other than that I’m gutless and helpless, no.”

He shook his head. “You want to travel. To unusual and dangerous places. You hid a binder full of National Geographic pages in your locker in high school because you didn’t want your mom to see all the pictures you’d torn out to keep track of the places you wanted to visit.”

My jaw dropped slightly, and I widened my eyes. What?

He continued. “You didn’t eat lunch for an entire month senior year, because you saw Stu Levi not eating and found out his single mom was out of work and couldn’t afford to put money on his lunch card. So you put your own money on it. Anonymously.”

How did . . . ?

“You love dark chocolate,” he kept going, “Ricky Gervais, and any movie with singing and dancing.” His voice filled the car, and my heartbeat was in my ears. “Except The Wizard of Oz, because the witch freaks you out, right? And you’ve collected almost an entire set of vintage Nancy Drew books. You had the most badges in your troop in Girl Scouts, and you had to quit swimming when you were fourteen because your mom said that your shoulders were getting too muscular and you wouldn’t look feminine. You loved swimming,” he added.

I wrapped my arms around my stomach, the air turning cold. Tate and Liam didn’t even know all that.

“I didn’t drool all over you in high school, K.C. I listened to you. I paid attention to you. What the hell do you know about me?”

And he swung the car door open, climbed out, and slammed it shut, not waiting for an answer.

I sat there, watching him walk into his house and close the door.

Then the tears spilled over, and as much as I wanted to prove him wrong, I couldn’t go after him. He didn’t know that I’d watched him, too. He didn’t know that I’d paid attention as well.

I always saw him.

“Music centers you,” I whispered to an empty car, staring at his front door. “You listened to your iPod between classes and while you sat on the bleachers before school every morning.” I smiled, letting more tears run down my cheeks and thinking back to him and his black hoodies, looking so dark. “You love popcorn. Almost every kind and flavor but especially with Tabasco sauce,” I said, remembering the times he would come into the theater where I worked. “You hold the door open for women—students, teachers, and even old ladies coming out of Baskin-Robbins. You love movies about natural disasters, but they have to have some comedy in them. Your favorite one is Armageddon.” I swallowed and thought about how little I’d ever seen Jax truly smile. “And while you love computers, it’s not your passion,” I concluded. “You love being outdoors. You love having space.” My whole face hurt, the last words barely audible. “And you deserve someone who makes you happy. I’m just not that person.”

As a HUGE fan of 'Second Time Around' romances, I was totally grabbed by the blurb about a First Love Romance finding love again twenty years later...WELLLLLL....this one has a TWIST...and Boy was it a Fun Time!

Just the first few pages will have you cracking up...not that this is a comedy, but Cynthia Gibbons and her antics to catch a "Rich Man" had me laughing, and it didn't stop there!  I have to say, I was NOT a fan of Cynthia in the beginning of THE BEST SHE EVER HAD, and I assume if you have read the complete series (which I plan to do VERY SOON), she is supposed to be a bit on a "Love Her or Hate Her" character...and I DID NOT like her.  She was a straight up bitch to be honest, but that's the GREAT part about this romance, is that everyone can change....and by the end...I have to say, I really really wanted Cynthia to get her man.

The family dynamic is so great, because Shelly writes her characters so true to life...I could practically see myself at the table, eating brunch and watching the drama unfold! And these Gibbons sisters are FULL of drama!  The crazy twist that Ellis throws in there, really threw me for a loop, but I was so excited cause I really really wanted Jared and Clarissa to have a chance (and the hotel room scene was TOO funny for words!).

I do have ONE peeve...I didn't like the way the last chapter ended...ok...Shelly makes up for it with the epilogue...but for a minute there, I was like WHAT?!?!?!?!  So be warned...Keep reading to the end...whew!!

It's the New Year...try something that you might not normally pick up and grab a copy of THE BEST SHE EVER HAD...you won't be sorry...and you will definitely be picking up the others in the series...I know I am!!

The first thing you need to know about me is that I genuinely believe in true love and soul mates. I met my wonderful husband when we were still at school. I was sixteen, he was seventeen, we are high school sweethearts. Now more than twenty five years later, we are still very much in love and are happily married with two beautiful children. We live in picturesque New Zealand and I consider ourselves lucky to live in this magnificent part of the world.
I do have a full time job, but in my spare minutes I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and reading. I’m an avid reader and tend to chomp through a large volume of books, mainly in the romance genre. And of course my other major ‘hobby’ is writing steamy rock star erotic romances!
I started writing in early 2014. After spending many years writing business documentation, and constantly being inspired by numerous romance novels, I decided to try my hand at fictional writing. After penning my first scene I discovered that I enjoyed it immensely and so resolved to continue with the rest of the story that was swirling in my imagination. That story resulted in my first novel, Heaven Sent.
My Oblivion on Tour Series follows the five band members of the hard rock group Oblivion. Each book in the series follows a different band member and their quest for love.
Book 1 - Heaven Sent - Ash and Eve’s story
Book 2 - Bolt From The Blue - Nikki and Trixie’s story
Books 3, 4 & 5 will each tell Cody, Scott and Hansen’s stories.
I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them.
