I'm sorry...was there more to this book than just the Sexy as Sin, Black Irish Sean Muldoon? Really?  I must have not been able to see past the page where Shannon meets Sean for the first time.....ohhhh mama!!  Did I ever tell you I have a thing for guys with accents? Yea...Sean Muldoon definitely does it for me...Very Tom Hardy-esque!  

(In my mind...This is Sean...I know Tom is English...but oh well)

So sorry...moving on...the book...GETTING LUCKY...quite the fun start to a new series from Jennifer Seasons, an Avon Romance author that came onto the scene with her Diamonds and Dugouts series and then took some time off, and is BACK with the Fortune, Colorado series, beginning with Sean Muldoon, who we met in THROWING HEAT as Peter Kowalskin's half brother.  (BTW....Peter Kowalskin...OMG...can you say MUST READ!)

The Fortune, Colorado series definitely has the Fools Gold (Susan Mallery) feel to it, with a town and secondary characters that feel as big as the main characters, but don't overtake the love story, which I have to say, was on quite the sizzle from the first time Shannon and Sean meet!  It is always hard to try and balance the first in a series with trying to make it only about the main characters and their love story and also, trying to get in information to build the next few books, or about the town/back story/etc, but Jennifer did a great job at giving a nice balance, and still keeping me hooked on Sean and Shannon and what might happen to them if the "secrets" come out!

With a steady balance of romance and mystery, GETTING LUCKY is a satisfying start to the Fortune, Colorado series from Season!  

I look forward to the next in the series and recommend giving GETTING LUCKY a try!

This was a HIGHLY anticipated read for me, I have been DYING to find out what all the chemistry surrounding Leslie and Peter was  about starting in STEALING HOME and continuing into PLAYING THE FIELD. 

Jennifer Season's did a fabulous job at weaving Leslie and Peters attraction throughout the series, and I was so excited to get my hands on THROWING HEAT, and BOY WAS IT SMOKIN HOT!  Peter and Leslie lit up the pages with Flirty Banter, Intimate Touches, and some Very Very Frustrating Sexual Tension...but boy was EVERY MOMENT all the more fun. 

On the flip side, the emotions that each of these characters felt for each other, or hid from each other was heart-warming, heart-breaking and so powerful, you couldn't help but feel the emotion yourself.  I didn't know what to expect from Playboy Peter Kowalskin, but he was oh so much more than I had originally given him credit for, and he sure does right by Leslie, and for once, I think the heroine deserves the guy!!

Great Series, Fabulous New Author, and a MUST-READ of 2013!!

I am SO glad I picked up STEALING HOME by Jennifer Seasons the other afternoon.  I was in the mood for a quick, light-hearted romance and I got that and SO MUCH MORE!!  As most of you know, I am a HUGE Rachel Gibson fan, and when I first started STEALING HOME, I got that same feeling that I get when reading RG, that happy anticipation of what's to come, knowing that I am going to love every minute.  I got that feeling, and I have to say, I enjoyed STEALING HOME so much! 

Lorelei, our heroine, was hysterical! She reminded me a lot of Annabelle from SEP's MATCH ME IF YOU CAN.  She had a HUGE heart and did what needed to be done to survive, even if she had to use "Fonda" and the girls to get it done!

Mark "The Wall"...well...I think his name just says it all!  He was tough, but so charming and had that Southern Gentleman Smile that would come out once in a while and make all your lady parts do a little dance.  He was a guy who had been through a lot and was looking for something "real"...ya gotta respect that.  He just has to jump through a whole lotta hoops to finally get his woman!

The secondary characters are adorable!  Mark's sister Leslie was a little fire cracker, and I hope she gets her own book!  The men of the Denver Rush were such a fraternity with their ribbing and pranks, I LOVED them all!!  These bad boys really did have hearts of gold!!

I am so looking forward to PLAYING THE FIELD, book two, releasing in July!
