Lori Wilde
Releasing March 28, 2017
Avon Books

New York Times Bestselling Author Lori Wilde returns to Cupid, Texas with a heartwarming story of a cowboy who comes home to the family ranch for a wedding filled with surprises…

The illegitimate son of a Texas ranching dynasty, Ridge Lockhart left home ten years ago with one goal: to become more successful than the father who never accepted him.

Mission accomplished, but now he’s back at the Silver Feather Ranch for a wedding—three days of best man duty until he can hightail it out. Then he spies Kaia Alzate, and suddenly leaving isn’t quite so appealing.

Kaia Alzate grew up the daughter of the ranch foreman, servants to the mighty Lockharts in the mansion. Back then, she followed Ridge around like a puppy. Now, she’s fighting the attraction she feels for this sexy CEO. She’s determined not to make a big mistake—but when Ridge takes her in his arms she’s stunned…could he be the man she’s waited for all along?

Guest Review by Yvonne Cruz

When you think an author can’t outdo herself after reading her previous books, you get Ms Wilde to prove you wrong !

I have come to the conclusion that this talented author is under-estimated and hope that with this review, others will join me in appreciating her talent.

In this story, we have Ridge Lockhart, the illegitimate son of a wealthy rancher, who has become wealthy on his own account and has had a turbulent relationship with his father, all his life. The other main character is Kaia Alzate, the young sister of his best friend, who in their youth followed the two boys everywhere and has had a crush on Ridge most of her life. She is going to school to become a Veterinarian, but has had some stumbling blocks in her way. Still, she embraces life in a way that Ridge doesn’t.

Aside from a great storyline there is so much more to this story.

It’s a story about family, home and love. A reminder that we have to slow down and literally, stop and smell the roses. A reminder that wealth is not about things, but about experiencing life and cherishing it. That we must put family, love, and relationships above everything else, because that’s where the true treasures in life exist.

Thank you, Ms Wilde, for that reminder. I can’t wait for your book to be published.

I was gifted this book by Edelweiss and Tasty Book Tours. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Is it only me...or does the Cupide Texas Series just keep getting better and better!?
Firstly, can we just say...Hellloooooo Jericho!!  As a huge fan of "Friends to Lovers" romances, and a HUGE fan of Lori Wilde romances (after the Jubilee Texas Series, which I am currently re-reading my love Joe Daniels in THE COWBOY TAKES A BRIDE), I absolutely enjoyed every moment of SOMEBODY TO LOVE, book three in the Cupid, Texas Series.
The suspense aspect was a fun addition to the story and certainly keeps you hanging on, page after page, and your heart will take a few hits with this one, but in the end, I can say that Lori will leave you with the warm and fuzzies...Satisfaction Guaranteed.
Grab some cocoa, and a warm blanket and settle in for a heartwarming read which will keep you up into the night.
No one knows Cowboys like Lori Wilde!!

The second book in a dazzling new Cupid, Texas series by Lori Wilde. Welcome to Cupid, where every wish for love comes true…

For years, a small group of women in Cupid, TX, led by Millie Greenway, have taken it upon themselves to keep the Cupid legend alive. Now Millie has roped her four disbelieving granddaughters into joining the cause.

Lace Bettingfield knows for a fact that the Cupid legend is bogus. As a shy sixteen-year-old, she left a letter at the statue and got nothing in return but heaps of embarassment when her letter ended up printed in the school newspaper. But now the boy she longed for is back in town and Lace can't help wondering...what if?

It's OFFICIAL....Lori Wilde has done it again!!  ALL OUT OF LOVE has a ton of heart, a love that spans a decade and a heroine who proves that intelligence can be sexy!  (and talking about Plant Sex can make some guys horny...who knew)

I am starting with Pierce, Quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, Mr. Jock Talk yumminess...Yes...You will have a MEGA Swoon over this guy, but he is so much more than what he comes off as, and I was so happy that Lace gave him the chance to show her that he wasn't just a "guy with the lines".

Lace...rockin the black frames and the size 14...I liked her A LOT!  She had her insecurities, sure, but she didn't let anyone make her feel bad about the skin she was in, and I loved the way she used Plant Talk to describe Pierce...That was a favorite scene of mine...and the hotel room scene, but I will let you ladies read that one on your own.

If you haven't read the first book in the series, LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, I suggest you start there, or with the novella ONE TRUE LOVE, the story of how it all began with Millie and John, who are the grandparent's of the four ladies featured in the Cupid Texas Series.  You will want to meet Dade and Natalie in LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT (talk about tugging the heart strings), and then you will be lucky enough to move onto Lace and Pierce in ALL OUT OF LOVE, which I flew through this weekend, I don't think I even put it down, I think I fed the baby while I was still reading...it was that good!

But these are the kind of books that get me...I believe in soul mates and love at first sight and this series totally grabbed my attention and I can't wait for the next book, Zoey's story to come out.

Buy them all...and Fall in LOVE!!

From the author of the Twilight, Texas books comes the first in a dazzling new Cupid, Texas series. Lori Wilde welcomes us to Cupid, where every wish for love comes true...

Natalie McCleary couldn't believe her eyes-a lean-muscled, darkly tanned, nearly-naked man stood in her path…and then it hit her: love. Everyone always told her it'd hit like a thunderbolt, and she never believed them. But now she knew: practical, sensible Natalie was head over heels in love-with a stranger.

But ex-Navy SEAL Dade Vega wasn't about to be a stranger for long. He'd ridden into Cupid on his motorcycle, vowing to keep a promise he'd made to a military buddy. But a single glimpse at Natalie-soaking wet and unexpectedly tempting-changed his life forever.

But how can he offer her is love, when he can't even promise to stay in one place for longer than a week?

*****

In one of the first boxes from Avon when the Avon Addict program began, there was a book by a new-to-me author, "Cowboy Takes a Bride" by Lori Wilde. I was charmed at once by the cover, and by the end of the book (which I think I read in a day) I knew two things:

1. Lori Wilde was an author from whom I needed to read more, and

2. I freaking love contemporary Western romances!

After reading the next two books in the Jubilee, Texas series I was definitely hooked. By the late fall, I'd had to go back and buy the Christmas Cookie Chronicles, and by the way-- loved those, too. I am a huge sucker for Christmas-themed romance during the holidays.

So when I received the notice from Avon that the first of her new series was available for review, I had an undignified "squee" moment and downloaded it immediately.

Natalie is an almost-thirty-year-old virgin, waiting for that thunderbolt. Injured in a tragic accident that took her parents' lives when she was a child (and was THAT a heartbreaking scene to read!), she has taken care of her little sister ever since. Too busy to take the time to find love in their small town, she wonders if she ever will.

And then there's Dade. I love Dade. I adore that he's not afraid of love, just afraid that he wouldn't be any good for Natalie. He's come to town in search of his foster brother and SEAL buddy, who has disappeared, and immediately finds a reason to stick around.

I was a little leery at first about the "love at first sight" concept. However, I thought it was a very cute story idea for a contemporary romance. So often, we read about that sort of thing happening in Regency-era ballrooms, but it's a rare thing in a modern-day romance with our jaded heroines today. I didn't find it at all unbelievable, and thought it was very sweet.

Naturally, there are still obstacles our hero and heroine must face in their journey to happily-ever-after. Family obligations, personal baggage, a great cast of well-drawn supporting characters both helping and hindering in their own ways.

And this novel has a mystery-- some intrigue to really spice things up.

I hope you add this to your TBR list; I definitely recommend it. And just a few weeks after its release, there is a novella coming, One True Love, that explains more about the Cupid back story and the role Natalie's grandmother had in the Dear Cupid letters (though you don't need to have read that before this one; she explains it all very well).

Here's a clue about how much I enjoyed it: I read it several months ago, so I picked it up the other day just to review the first couple of chapters so it would be fresh in my mind while I wrote the review. Yeah, you guessed it: I re-read the whole darn thing, despite my mile-high TBR list.

Enjoy. :)
