I wish I could find the words to express how much I loved WORTH THE RISK...but I don't think anything I say will encompass all that I am feeling as I reflect on what I have just read. Talk about two people who find a place to heal within the arms of the other.  

"I like who you are now"

I will admit I am not one to ever really have a connection to many heroines, I like them, but I don't always remember their names as I do my favorite heroes, which I can list at the drop of a hat if you asked me to.  But I think that Hannah will stay with me for a long long time.  I don't know too many heroines who have had this kind of strength, the only other I can think of is Eden St. Claire (from RESCUE ME by Christy Reece), who had also been through an ordeal similar to Hannah. Hannah has a light about her, that Stephen is drawn to, and her innocence and kind heart is what I loved most about her, next to her strength and will to do things on her own after all that was done to her.  And her sexy as all get out, over-protective brothers didn't hurt either!

I love how REAL Claudia wrote these two families.  The McKinney's and The Walkers...Boys playing football in the yard, punching it out when it needs to be done...I found myself laughing at the antics with all the testosterone filled men...and let me tell you...Stephen is ALL Man...oh my!  Can we get a photo...a McKinney Brothers Calendar...Claudia?! Think about it!

The pain these two carry is heart wrenching, the emotions that reading WORTH THE RISK will bring out of you as a reader is a testament to how well Ms. Connor wrote these characters.  The pain is fresh and so real that you can't help but feel every stomach clench and ache in their heart.  

Ms. Connor has placed herself on a shelf with very few who have captured my attention with every page, and every word....a New Must-Read author for me!
