Reese Stanford is off to college at Wake Forest with her loving boyfriend, Tate Justice…or is she? When trust issues arise regarding Tate’s behavior, she turns to none other than her beautiful past - the beach god, John Rider who is conveniently available and still waiting. Will it be enough drama for John to finally have her forever, or will other shocking revelations and dark discoveries keep Reese from becoming his life-long dream? Will Tate ever be able to win her love back?
Betrayal, anger, lust, and love fuel the future of Reese causing unexpected twists and turns on her long-awaited road to happiness. Will undying love conquer after all? Can Reese remain true to herself?

To be honest, ATONEMENT started out a bit slow for me, but didn't take that long to get into the drama...and oh boy...was there A LOT of drama to be had.  I wasn't all that fond of Reese, the heroine, which was a bit tough because the book is in first person, but you know, just like a train wreck, I just needed to know what was going to happen...so therefore, I let my feelings for Reese slide, and I read on, and I am glad I did.

Even though Reese still wasn't all that likable as the story goes on, it was the storyline that J.H. Cardwell weaves that kept my interest.

If you like New Adult Romances with a bit of a love triangle, some stalker ex-lovers/girlfriends, and a On/Off Boyfriend who is a BIT on the possessive side, then you have ATONEMENT.

Thank you 'A Tasty Read'! I appreciate your review and for having me today! Attainment (the first book in the Attainment series) was my first completed novel. I followed with Atonement, and I am nearly complete, and oh so excited for the release of Chloe! Lots of action and a very different story than the first two. It could even be a stand alone. The series was based off of a true story, a date rape and just morphed into the action, drama and love conquests I hoped the reader would find intriguing! enjoy!
