A HUGE thank you to Avon Romance for hooking me up with an Advanced Copy of HARD AS IT GETS (Hard Ink #1) by Laura Kaye. I have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Nick Rixey...Oh mama! From page one, you are sucked into the suspense of the story and then when Yummy Nick Rixey walks onto the page....MEGA SWOON...you are sucked in even further and if the suspense doesn't kill you...the sexual tension will!!
Becca Merritt was an awesome heroine (and I have to say, when I LOVE a hero as much as I love Rixey, I normally HATE the heroine), but Becca was kick butt! She didn't back down from anything, she had backbone, but she was caring, kind and sweet and had a way of handling Rixey that had me saying...SQUEE...I love these two together!!
And if ALL of this isn't enough, there are some BAD-ASS MILITARY HOTTIES to pass around ladies...there is certainly enough for all of us!! They were all hysterical (its the guy sense of humor), sexy, broody and ready to help out a brother in arms, when he needed them most. AND....Don't fret if you read this one too fast (as I did...devouring each page), we get Sexy, Charming Shane McCallan in February 2014!!
Laura Kaye is making her way up the list of favorites of mine, and I HIGHLY recommend that you grab this one, cause in my humble opinion, this is a MUST READ of 2013!!
