Maia’s been banished to Earth from her place among the stars as the eldest sister of Pleiades... and all because Orion won’t stop chasing her around the universe. Now Maia has to find her way back to the stars with only the help of hunky astronautics scientist Zander while staying hidden from Orion.

Zander never expected the discovery of his lifetime to fall into his lap, but when Maia also falls into his bed, he knows there’s no way he can turn the goddess who has stolen his heart into a science project. With his best friend ready to sell him out for fame, her wannabe lover Orion chasing after her on Earth, and time running out fast, Zander must fight to keep Maia safe long enough to get her home.

If going home means losing Zander, is Maia ready to go back to the stars?

When Lisa asked me to review the above novel this week, I thought it sounded familiar. I checked my Kindle, and, sure enough, I'd already purchased it! It was just waiting to be read, so this was a welcome opportunity for me.

Right off the bat, I was intrigued by a brand-new mythology. Now, as far as paranormal romances go, I still love my witches, vamps, demons, and shifters. But I was enchanted by the idea of the stars and constellations being representative of celestial beings. I was fascinated-- and inspired to keep reading-- by the notion and the desire to know more about this world and how it worked.

Maia's a sweet, likable heroine, ducking an overzealous suitor. Zander, well, he's an adorable nerd. I'm a science geek myself so I love it when we're portrayed in books in a positive light. There's attraction between the two from the beginning, thwarted by her need to return home, his nosy friend, and Zeus' overprotectiveness. And of course, there's the fact that she's from another planet and he's an astronomer looking for his big discovery...There was a nice buildup of sexual tension, too; they didn't just jump right into bed.

Just a couple of downsides, personal pet peeves of mine: a few typos here and there were jarring enough (to me) to pull me out of the story, and I would have liked to see a little more showing so I could get deeper into their heads.

But, the story was cute and intriguing, the characters likable, and the attraction was hot; it all kept me wanting to read more. I would definitely recommend reading this book.
