1. Mathew from the Reef by Nora Roberts. This is one of my all-time favorite books and I rarely read Roberts anymore. It's an early one. You just have to read it. You'll love it. I don't want to say why I like him or what genre of hero he qualifies as because it'll give everything away.
2. Malkom Slaine from Demon from the Dark by Kresley Cole. He's the demon from the dark. He's the bad guy who ends up being fierce protector of the heroine guy ;)
