In The Marriage Betrayal, we follow shipping heir, Sander and his immediate attraction to plain-jane Tally Spencer. Tally met Sander while on a weekend getaway with her snotty, stuck up half-sister and they have an instant connection. Tally leaves after an embarrassing incident, but Sander doesn't give up. He continues to pursue Tally and they have a short affair, but she ends things after he allows another woman to kiss him. Tally becomes pregnant, but Sander doesn't want to have anything to do with her or the baby, until he suddenly asks for her hand in marriage. Why the sudden change? You will just have to read the book to find out what happens with Tally and Sander, and then follow the couple on another roller coaster ride in the second book of the Volakis Vow Series, Bride for Real.

I really liked this book and I can't wait to get my hands on the second, Bride for Real coming in September. I liked the chemistry between playboy Sander and Tally, the forgotten daughter. She was stupid to fall for him when he told her he was only in it for a quick affair, but she fell nonetheless and was hurt, and the hurt just keeps coming. I was happy with the end of The Marriage Betrayal, then realized they have another tragedy ahead of them...boo hoo. Can't wait to see how that one ends!
