Growing up in a tiny community in Alabama boasting only one stop sign and a gas station gave Christy ample opportunity to create daring adventures in her head. When she wasn't thinking of her story characters, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys kept her entertained and out of trouble. Later came the chills of Stephen King and the thrills of John Grisham, but the romance genre always held a strong place in her heart.

Like me, many of the LCR fans have been waiting to see our favorite researcher, Angela Delvecchio, finally find love...and it just so happens to be with the very sexy, sometimes broody, Jake Mallory.  Yes...I will take him with a side of apple pie please!  Jake was TASTY, and the sexual tension is OFF THE CHARTS HOT!  (See: Scene in the Training Room)

The Last Chance Rescue is hunting down the Red Rose Killer, and Angela is assigned to her first undercover assignment as an Exotic Dancer...I am not sure who it was harder on (no pun intended) Jake to watch or Angela to know that he was watching...WHOA...talk about foreplay! 

As the mission goes on, Angela and Jake finally give in to the tension and combust...Yeah...it was that explosive!  I wanted to cry knowing that Christy wouldn't make it that easy for me, and she would have to break my heart, cause life isn't all candy and roses, so be prepared to have your heart broken, but I wouldn't have wanted her to change a thing!  I loved the progression of Angela as an operative, watching her grow as a woman, a lover, a professional and watching her kick some major butt!!  Angela ROCKS!

CHANCES ARE is a MUST READ, not just for Romance Suspense fans, but for ALL ROMANCE fans, but I will warn you, if this is your first LCR Romance, be prepared to clear your reading schedule, cause once you meet the LCR Team, you will be HOOKED and will spend the next week reading Books 1-9...Yes...they are THAT addicting!!
