The first thing that I quite enjoyed about this New Release from Lacey was that it took place in North Carolina, where I currently reside.  So I was really able to take in the atmosphere, especially the Strip Club atmosphere, since we have quite a few in the area.  And NO, I have never went to the Crazy Horse on Tuesday Night to enter the Bikini Contest...Just NO!

I will admit that this is a quick little romance, you will fly through it in one sitting, but it is quite adorable and I did think the hero Josh was a great guy, even though he kinda went all Tarzan on Abigail, he meant well and he just wanted to use his millions to take care of her...well sheesh...if a man that you are attracted to wants to spend his millions on you..um...ya say "HELLS YEAH".  Come on Abigail...get with the program!

I enjoyed the family dynamic that formed between Hailey and Josh, and the slow build up of romance between Josh and Abigail.  I liked that she didn't just throw herself at him after four years.  She was a bit cautious, which I respect. 

This is a quick romance, but packs a punch.  Lacey Wolfe shows us that even the ladies who swing from poles can have a Happily Ever After!

Funny thing is...I think the blurb pretty much covered the whole novella...haha.  Robin Kaye write a fun, heartwarming novella to kick off her new series, The Bad Boys of Red Hook , and oh...are they BAD, especially Simon...naughty, naughty, naughty...taking a girl home and pretending to remember who she is...yeah...that will just bite you in the ass!

My poor Fitz...ya go home with a guy, give him a night he will never forget and then it all goes to shit...I wouldn't have expected anything different, haha!  Elyse was a great heroine, flirty, a little spunky and she knows what she wants...sounds like my kinda girl!  Simon, just handsome, but oh...just like a man...sticks his foot in his mouth.  Oh to see a man grovel..and yes...he is very cute while doing it!

This was a really great opening to the series.  I enjoyed not just the two main characters, but the secondary characters, who I assume will all have a story.  I enjoyed how real the story felt, hanging at a bar, seeing someone you recognize but can't put your finger on it, hoping that someone will say their name to refresh your memory, or at least make you look less of a fool.  Especially coming from New York, it was fun to just be back in the atmosphere, which Robin does a phenomenal job at describing.  I just had fun and I know that you all will enjoy this little start to what is shaping up to be a great series for 2013!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of HOPELESS from Ms. Hoover and I have to say, after reading SLAMMED and POINT OF RETREAT, I was super excited to get started on her next release.  I have to mention that the only reason it took me TWO nights to read HOPELESS was because I have a two-month-old, but for the rest of you, it will be a One-Nighter...be ready for a night with no sleep!!

HOPELESS touches on some very serious subject matter, but Hoover writes it in such a way that you won't be discouraged to continue reading.  If anything, she gets you so deeply involved with the characters lives that you want to know where the storyline is going, no...more like you NEED to know where the storyline is going.  I think I was literally sitting on edge, waiting to find out what piece of the puzzle Sky and Holder would uncover next. 

Sky is almost your typical heroine, well, except for the no phone, no T.V. and no internet rules at her house, but she does have an unhealthy obsession for chocolate.  The bad reputation aside, she is a strong young lady with a good head on her shoulders.  Then she meets Holder, Dean Holder, who has her wanting to break the rules...just a little.  Holder is your misunderstood, crush-worthy bad-boy who has you wishing that you could rewind time and head back to high school.

The interactions between Holder and Sky are so innocent, yet intense and as the story unwinds, and the layers start peeling away, you begin to find out how deep that connection really is, and as the story unravels, you will be left speechless.

Colleen Hoover has mastered her craft.  If this is what she has in store for her readers, well, Mark her down as ONE TO WATCH!!

For anyone who doesn't know, the book that lured me back into reading romance after I finished college was NOT ANOTHER NEW YEARS by the very amazing and talented, Christie Ridgway.  It was naughty and nice, and was the raunchiest book I had read, well, up to that point in my life, AND I borrowed it from my MOTHER IN LAW...I know...took me a few days to be able to look at her in the eyes...haha. 

Anyway, after finishing the very sexy Ridgway Romance, I was HOOKED...and I ran right over to the library and read ANY and EVERY romance I could get my hands on.  This was the point where I discovered the wonders that are Rachel Gibson, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Kristan Higgins, Susan Mallery, Nora Roberts and the list can go on and on. 

So, as you can see, I owe Christie Ridgway for taking my "V" Card when if comes to Romance Novels.  Thank you Christie...I am forever grateful!!

Now, onto the good stuff...BEACH HOUSE NO. 9, the first in Christie's new Beach House Series, where we meet Jane Pearson, the book guru, who is supposed to be helping the ever handsome, Griffin Lowell, get out of his own head and get his memoirs onto paper, but Griffin is doing anything he can to get away from Jane and his memories of the time he spent in Afghanistan.  Jane burrows her way into Griffins head, and maybe even his heart, but Griffin isn't looking for any entanglements and Jane doesn't want to fall for another man who doesn't see everything that makes Jane special.

Not only did I LOVE Griffin and Jane, who reminded me so much of my all time favorite Romance couple, Jane and Luc from Rachel Gibson's SEE JANE SCORE, but I LOVED all the wonderful secondary characters we meet, like Skye, and Rex Monroe, Tee Wee, Tess, David and ALL the kids.  As usual, Ridgway spins her magic and has you falling in love with a broken hero and a heroine who is one of a kind, I mean...remember the bows!!  Haha!

The secondary story with Tess, Griffin's sister, and her husband David was heartbreaking.  Each time he would turn away my heart broke a little more.  I do love a man who loves his family that much though, and for taking care of them when they REALLY NEEDED HIM.

And Tee Wee...let's get more of him...Thank you very much!!  I am also VERY intrigued to know what the deal is with Skye and her pen pal, Gage, who is Griffin's twin brother.  There is something going on there and I sooooo hope that Skye and Gage are getting their own book.

BEACH HOUSE NO. 9 takes you away with scenery so descriptive that you could feel the warm sand beneath your toes and the cool breeze across your face, and a pair of mix matched lovers who keep the pages turning long into the night! Ridgway is back and ladies, she has come out swinging!!

If you haven't picked this one up...It's a shame!!  Wallbanger is laugh out loud funny and "I've got a crush on you, butterflies in my stomach" romantic.

 Ok, I just want to start out by saying that this isn't your typical romance novel...there wasn't really your typical "Black Moment", my heart didn't break and I didn't need a box of puffs plus to get through this one, BUT, this was a hysterical, heart pumping, first crush fluttering type of romance and I highly enjoyed the roller coaster ride!!

Caroline was a great heroine.  The type of woman who you would want as a friend, or even someone that you could easily put yourself in her shoes, especially when she keeps bumping into Simon in the hallway of her complex...I could feel my heart racing with every glance!!  She was funny, and just "real", that's what I LOVED about her.  The interaction with her friends Mimi and Sophia reminded me so much of me and my ladies!!

And Simon Wallbanger...well what can I say about Simon...ummmm YUMMY??  No seriously, he was just smokin hot and NICE...he was just nice and a man who kept his sex life private, which I highly respected.  Handsome, sexy and just a great guy, who happened to be really good in bed and maybe had some partners who were a bit "loud"!  He has definitely found a spot among my Best Heroes List.

I loved the interactions with both of their groups of friends.  I loved their snarky banter and the "foreplay with words" game they played...very hot!  Wallbanger is not written in your typical romance novel, we have some parts where you are getting many POV's at once, but I have to say, it just made the book more enjoyable having Simon's POV and the rest of the cast of characters.  Wallbanger is just funny, sexy, and a hell of a good time. 

So worth the read and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by A Tasty Read.  This was my first read from Alice Clayton, but will NOT be my last.

With his hat off, he palmed the crown and used the back of his forearm to wipe at his sweaty face. Then he did the unthinkable. Then he set his hat aside and pumped the lever a handful of times, the muscles in his arms and back bunching and shifting under his tight shirt. When water gushed from the spigot, he leaned down to stick his head under the stream.

Jo Ellen pressed her hand against her chest, hoping she didn’t have a heart attack before he was done because there was no way she wanted to miss the rest of this show.

The cool well water sluicing over his heated body made a slight steam rise around him and as wet cloth plastered itself to his torso. He drenched his hair, making it a shade darker than its usual light blond. After rinsing, he shifted his face around to the flow and opened his mouth, welcoming a nice, hearty drink.

Never in her life had Jo Ellen thought a man getting a mere drink of water could look so intoxicating. She watched his throat work as he swallowed. Then his eyes closed as he finished and he lowered his head to the spray again, obviously relishing his rinse down.
